EDINBURGH climbers have been furious over ‘offensive’ messages left on rocks atop Scottish Munros.
A vegan animal advocate from the city has painted colorful writing on rocks in the mountains.
The local pedestrian is proud of his work and often shares photos of his “controversial” work on social media and Instagram.
Some of the messages he shared already include “Murder, evil, agony, torture” for meat and “I’ll kill them all if they’re not vegan.”
Others say: “Fuck with animals or I’ll kill you” and “If you eat animals, you have no moral right to defend their interests.”
The man behind the job calls himself a “metal-headed munro bagger” and uses the Instagram handle “F****g Hostile Vegan Sausage”.

But other locals were outraged by the reports, calling them “nothing more than vandalism.”
The climbing group prides itself on being a close-knit group based on mutual respect for others.
So they were less than impressed when they came across posts they found offensive.
Ann Butler was horrified when she stumbled upon a stone that read, “Be kind to animals or I’ll kill you.”

She said Edinburgh Live: “Whatever your beliefs, leaving them painted on a cairn on the remote peak of Munro is nothing more than an act of vandalism.”
She added that mountain walkers should respect the environment and not use it to share their personal beliefs.
They are not the only ones disappointed by the messages, as Scots have flocked to social media to share their outrage.
In a Facebook post, one user said, “He’s insulting the beautiful natural landscape by leaving graffiti on top of the munro!”
Another added: “Does he not see the irony? Criticize people for killing animals by threatening to kill people.”

Someone else wrote: “I think we can all choose what to eat and what not to eat, but keep your eating habits to yourself, the damn world shouldn’t know about it.”
F****g Hostile Vegan Sausage’s Instagram account was reached out for comment.
