ALDI slashed the price of its outdoor pizza oven, and a great deal came up just in time for the weekend.

Specialbuy was only launched online last month but has already dropped in price.

  • Gas oven for pizza Aldi Gardenline. Was: £199.99 Now: £179.99 Save £20. (10%) - buy now

An Aldi Gardenline gas pizza oven cost almost £200, but the budget supermarket discounted the popular item by 10%.

Buyers now need to shell out just £179.99 to get it.

That means they have an extra £20 in their pockets to spend on a few thirst-quenching drinks at the pub this holiday weekend or something special for the kids during the Easter break.

The sleek tool features a black steel body with two heat settings, easy-glide wheels and a heat-protected handle for easy portability.

The oven also comes with a pizza stone that would otherwise cost customers an additional £15 on average to buy separately.

But make sure you have space for the new gadget, as it can’t be used indoors or in tight spaces - although it will be right at home with your garden barbecue.

The only catch is that you’ll have to pre-order if you want to splash out right now.

The garden gadget doesn’t have to ship until April 24th, so maybe it’s not the day off when you’ll be flipping dough for classic Italian flavor.

However, with a delivery time of two to seven days after that, you’ll be sure to receive your new purchase by the May bank holiday, which is just over a month away.

The oven is only available for online purchase, so you won’t be able to find a bargain in the store.

This also means buyers have to factor in the £3.95 home delivery fee that comes on top.

But you don’t want to hang around if you plan on splashing out.

Aldi specialty purchases fly off the shelves quickly, and in the past, shoppers have been frustrated when popular items sell out quickly.

With that said, always shop before you buy to make sure you’re getting the best price available.

A budget alternative could be a BBQ topper like the latest Home Bargains contraption.

The fixture only costs £40, so you can save £140 if you don’t fuss when buying a full-size unit.

However, Aldi compared its larger version of kitchen equipment to Lifestyle Verona Deluxe Gas Pizza Oven priced at £799 meaning Aldi buyers will save £599.01.
