It looks like Adele is hinting she’s going to stay in the US full-time after falling head over heels in love with sports agent Rich Paul.
Plans for her London mega-mansion, where she planned to merge two adjacent London houses into one, appear to have been shelved.
Adele currently has little time to complete the project, with the building’s planning application ending in just seven weeks.
The planned work has not started yet, which means that the neighbors are convinced that she abandoned the plan because she sees her future in Los Angeles.
A source said, “Adele’s big plans to demolish her two houses into one have completely come to a halt. She was granted a work permit back in May 2019 and the whole thing was to be completed three years from that date.
“Last year, a noise notice was posted near the sites warning that work was about to start, but absolutely nothing happened. Two houses were not touched, no work was carried out. Adele’s neighbors were obviously glad they didn’t have to put up with such a major overhaul, but it left some confused as to what she’s planning next.”
The original plans included a huge 1,000-square-foot bedroom.
In addition, it was planned that the basement would have enough space for two cars and a huge games room.
After canceling her Las Vegas residency back in January, Adele said she wants the shows to take place later this year so she can take a break and focus on her life with Rich.
She said about the concerts, “It has to happen this year because I have plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I’m having a baby.”
I’m sure her fans would have preferred this to the reality of the cancellation - where she actually refused to perform because she wasn’t happy with the production - but what’s done is done.
As a proud Brit, I would like Adele to return to her homeland forever.
But after living a pretty perfect life in her massive Beverly Hills mansion, who could blame her for not coming back?
And at least now her neighbors won’t have the hassle of construction workers breaking through concrete walls anytime soon.
JOEL WANTS TO START ED
JOEL CORRY has worked with Mabel, Charli XCX, Saweetie and many more, but his dream collaboration is finally possible - and it’s Ed Sheeran.
The London DJ revealed that the couple hit it off late last year and are planning to hit the studio together after Ed was impressed with the remix Joel did to his #1 Bad Habits.
In an exclusive chat, Head & Heart hitmaker Joel said: “We hung out together at the MTV EMA after party and also after Hits Live in Liverpool.
“We drank beer together, had a good chat and talked about getting into the studio. This is my dream collaboration and I will talk about it until it happens.
“We are going to release it into the universe. He’s a great guy and I’m so glad we have a little friendship. It would be amazing if that happened.”
But Joel’s diary already looks even busier than superstar Ed’s, as he’s booked a 16-week residency at Ibiza Rocks and is about to take America by storm.
Joel has been on tour there for over a month this year and is hoping his new single, What Would You Do?, released today, will seal the deal as it features popular American singer Bryson Tiller and legendary DJ David Guetta.
He said, “Now I’m touring a lot in America, and I’ve always had a great desire to go to the States. Working with Bryson on this was incredible. He seems so fresh to me. I went to Los Angeles to shoot a video with him and it was such a surreal experience.
“It was like a huge dream come true. He is a major American artist and hopefully this will open a few more doors for me in the States. Without a doubt, this will be the most important and best year of my life.”
Tom on top with a summer anthem
ONE of my favorite British stars, Tom Grennan, is back today with one of the best songs of the year.
Remind Me is his first new music since the release of his UK nominated album Evering Road 12 months ago and I’m sure it will become an absolute anthem this summer.
Talking about the melody, Tom said: “I wanted to write a song that would remind me of the moment in my life when I realized that I had given up on something that really changed my life – in a good way.
“It’s about reunion. It’s that feeling when you’re at the top of the roller coaster and you think, this is the best feeling.”
He is preparing a number of shows for the summer, including a homecoming concert in Bedford Park for 15,000 fans on June 4th.
But his next album is also on the way. Tom added: “I have a new story. I’m on the run, I’m in sixth gear.”
CHUNG CLOSE

ALEXA CHUNG closed her fashion business after five years, citing financial losses caused by the pandemic.
In a message posted on Instagram, the model said, “I would like to share the news that over the past few months I have been phasing out AlexaChung, a fashion line I founded in 2017.
“I have been honored to design my dream wardrobe and would like to thank our amazing clients for the love you have given us – you have great taste.
“The experience of starting and running your own company has been rewarding and often rewarding, but the last couple of years have been challenging for small independent businesses, and ours is no exception.”
Her friend Daisy Lowe commented: “You’ve always created the most exceptional things - I’m always proud of you.”
MUSE VIEWS IN THE NEWS
MUSE have announced that their first album in four years, Will Of The People, will be released on August 26th.
The ten-song LP was inspired by the pandemic, wars and recent natural disasters and it’s clear the guys aren’t too optimistic about the future as the last track is called We Are F***ing Fed.
The first single, Compliance, was released today and frontman Matt Bellamy said of it: “Compliance is about obeying authoritarian rules and a hopeful lie that will be accepted by the band.
“Gangs, governments, demagogues, social media algorithms and religions seduce us into moments of vulnerability, creating arbitrary rules and twisted ideas that we must obey. They just want our compliance.”
NEW NAS RELEASE
LIL NAS X has revealed that his second album is “near completion” following the success of Montero’s debut album last summer.
The singer hasn’t been online since December but returned to his social media on Wednesday night and teased that his next album is on the way.
Lil Nas, who said he has collaborations with Youngboy and Saucy Santana, added, “I make a lot of music.
“I haven’t finished promoting the latest album yet, but I’m also working on a new album, so this could be the first.”
dot jade
JADE THIRLWALL is in no rush to become a mother along with her Little Mix bandmates Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
When a fan on TikTok said she wanted her to have a baby, Jade (center) replied, “I want to sleep eight hours a night.” An honest evaluation.
MALUMA DOES BIG TIME
WHEN it comes to star power, few can get close to the effortlessly cool Maluma, who radiated charisma and sex appeal from the second he took the stage.
The Colombian reggaeton singer is a megastar in South America, but a crowded arena of distraught fans proves he’s ready for big things here, too.
Even though he sang exclusively in Spanish, he moved the crowd in no time with good tracks like 11PM, Felices Los 4 and Hawai.
Accompanied by eight dancers, he performed on stage in the center of the arena, which was lit with pyrotechnics, pleasing to the eyes and ears.
Already this year, he co-starred with Jennifer Lopez in the film “Marry Me” and signed up for the Versace advertising campaign with Gigi and Bella Hadid.
Judging by this performance, there are even bigger things on the horizon.

And considering that one woman threw a bra at him on stage, he has already achieved the status of a certified sex symbol.
