GOGGLEBOX star Pete Sandford is married to his longtime girlfriend Paige Yeomans and has given birth to his first child.
Announcing the exciting news at the National Television Awards this weekend, the TV personality entertained the audience with his love story.
Pete, 26, and Page have been dating for some time - as the Google Box star affectionately called his new wife his longtime “best friend.”
He and his wife, who works as an emergency services call handler, first posed for a photo together on their social media last October.
It was here that Pete announced that he was going to marry Paige, who studied at Queen Mary University in London and worked in the House of Fraser.
He wrote with a picture of the pair - which he described in 2019: “What more can I ask for, my wife and best friend.”
Peter then revealed on the show in February 2021 that he was getting engaged to Pigeon - to the delight of Google Box fans.
Two months later, the couple confirmed that Page was pregnant, once again sharing a news item on Google Box when they scanned the baby.
Pete confirmed at the 26th Annual National Television Awards on September 9, 2021 that Page had given birth to a boy.
He did not say when his new son was born, but said about having a new father: “It’s a bit overwhelming - it’s all going on right now!”
Pete added about the baby - whose name still remains and in the family he is known as the ‘little boy’: “He’s a little boy, he takes me after his mother!”
“He’s two weeks old. He doesn’t have a name yet. We can’t decide. We’re still calling him a ‘little man.’ He’s amazing,” he added.
The TV star also revealed that she and Pige had a secret marriage before the birth of their healthy child.
He told Okay fine Magazine: “I’m married now! It was nerve-wracking but it was the best day of my life. Well, the second best day when I’m a father now.”
Pete joked that he was excited to come to the glamorous NTA event on Thursday because he would get “a good night’s sleep in a hotel.”
Last night, her co-star Julie Malone let her child’s news slip when Google Box picked up the sound of the best realistic program.
Speaking from the stage, Julie revealed: “I hope you don’t mind telling me this, but congratulations to Pat who has become a father.”
Pete confirmed the news later in the evening: “I’m a good father. He’s a cool little boy. He chases after his mother.”
Her sister Sufi, who attended the awards ceremony to gather gongs with her, added: “I am a very proud aunt.”
Brother and sister have been on Google Box since 2018, and are strong favorites with fans - who flooded social media to congratulate him.
Along with his TV career, Pete has a job in the insurance industry.
